About Me

Hi friends,

My name is Heather. I thought of choosing a professional-looking photo of me for this site, but I decided that something less formal better suited this project. What is there to tell you that you didn't read about me already? I'm 22 years old, and I'm the first of my family that will graduate college and obtain a Bachelor's degree. I have a cat whom I named Reyna because she acts like a spoiled queen. I'm still in my one-bedroom apartment, but I can't wait to move back out into the country. I'm starting my Master's degree this June here at U of M, so if you see this before June of 2024, feel free to reach out! I'm around.

I took all the pictures you see in this project. Photography is a hobby of mine that I started a few years ago. Aside from writing, it's one of my favorite things to do that gets me out of the house and puts me in zen mode.

When I first started this project, I thought I was going to be writing about the tourist industry in different cities in the Upper Peninsula. After a few pages of research and writing, I knew it wasn't what I wanted. It was like reading out of a textbook, and even I didn't feel interested in reading it. Why spend a whole semester on a boring project? I wanted to make something worthwhile. I hope that you got something out of this, or at least that you were entertained by these different chapters in my life.
